What to do in Entrecasteaux?

Entrecasteaux is a small and very peaceful village. When you arrive at the town hall square, you will discover the magnificent castle overlooking the town. You will then take the small alley leading to the entrance of the castle. On your left, you can see the magnificent French-style garden with its well-cut hedges.

The visit of the Château d'Entrecasteaux is the activity not to be missed during a visit to Entrecasteaux. Its owner, Alain Gayral, will give you a guided tour of the various rooms of the residence from the dungeons to a superb room where private concerts are given. The visit lasts 1 hour. It is a dive into the history of France that awaits you. The owner has completely restored the house and the least we can say is that it is a success. This castle is absolutely magnificent. You will have a breathtaking view of the village from the castle terrace.

After visiting the castle, you will stroll through the narrow streets of the medieval village. The typical charm of Entrecasteaux will seduce you.

On the banks of the Argens, at the Pardigon plain, go to the Naturevasion nautical base to practice some activities on the river: canoeing, kayaking and paddling. Lovers of tree climbing will be able to enjoy the course in the trees.

What to do around Entrecasteaux?

Entrecasteaux is in the heart of the Var hinterland in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. This is what is called Green Provence. At 10 minutes from the village, you can visit the abbey of Thoronet. This Cistercian abbey is a jewel of Romanesque art.

Lake Sainte Croix offers many water sports activities, 25 km away. You can also enjoy beautiful hikes in the Verdon Regional Nature Park.

Closer by, you can visit the village of Salernes which is the city of ceramics. It is here that the famous tomettes of Provence are made, which decorate the floors of the houses.
