What to do in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer?

Saint Cyr has one of the replicas of the Statue of Liberty that can be seen in Piazza Portalis. It would have served as a model for the famous Statue of Liberty which is located at the entrance of New York. It bears the signature of the sculptor Bartholdi.

The city is crossed by two streams : la salle and le dégoûtant. Saint-Cyr is also a seaside resort with several beaches : les lecques, la madrague and the port of Alon (calanque accessible by the coastal path). You will be able to practise many water sports from these beaches : windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding or jet skiing.

If you appreciate contemporary art, a visit to the Sébastien art centre will allow you to discover different exhibitions. The Gallo-Roman Museum of Tauroentum bears witness to the city's rich historical past. Installed on the site of an ancient Gallo-Roman villa, this museum exhibits many objects found during excavations in the region.

Saint-Cyr is also a wine-growing commune since it produces wine on the Bourrasque vineyard. If you want to go for a walk with your family, you can also take the vineyard path which allows you to discover the agricultural heritage of the town while enjoying beautiful views of the sea.

Your children will be delighted to spend the day at Aqualand Water Park. They will find many slides and pools to cool off in the summer.

What to do around Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer?

You can take the boat to go to the famous creeks of Cassis. Just next to Saint-Cyr is the town of Bandol which faces the Paul Ricard islands. After Bandol, you will find Sanary-sur-Mer and La Seyne-sur-Mer just before Toulon. Going north, we arrive at Le Castellet which is home to the famous automobile circuit.
